Amidst decreased gas supply from the national grid and faltering pressure in the manufacturing units, more and more industries are turning towards LPG as an alternate fuel source.

Media reports claimed this while adding many industries in the industrial hubs of Savar, Ashulia, Narsingdi, Mymensingh, Gazipur and Chittagong, especially the garment industry entrepreneurs, are turning towards LPG to run boilers and dyeing machines.

Reports further added entrepreneurs have shown reluctance to use LPG in the industrial sector so far but given the existing situation, LPG supply infrastructure was, reportedly, being developed in all types of industries, which otherwise have been dependent principally on the gas supplied from the national grid, to meet their requirements.
